Finals Day

Today is filled with many different types of finals.

Zac's school finals
My final day as Libby Peterson
Zac's final day as a single man
Our final day of "dating"

As our day of finals comes to and end, it is with building excitement that we look forward to our first day of "firsts!"

The first day as Husband & Wife
The first time someone calls me "Mrs. Clegg"
The first time we can check the "married" box on a form
The first day of the rest of our married life

Thanks for all your love and support in getting us through the finals and onto the firsts!

The Final Count(down)

As this week draws nearer to a close, the final counts are needed and I am getting more and more excited. It sounds like my maid and matron are ready and waiting for the fun to begin as well. Watch out world here comes Zac & Libby's Wedding - ready or not!

It's offical, the wedding is almost here. Zac and I are so excited! We can't wait to celebrate with all of our friends and family (and eat cake)! The countdown is on - only 14 days from Saint Paddy's Day!

The Weight of the World!

I know everyone says God doesn't give you anything he knows you can't handle but I'm really feeling the weight of it all today!

Massage anyone!?

My Culinary Student

On with brighter news. Zac finished his finals in Purchasing and he is still offically an "A" student!

Progress Halted?

As I return to work today feeling a little defeated by the outcome of yesterday, I can't help but hear a soothing voice in my heart... "This too shall pass."

I had such high hopes for yesterday and it seems they were never destined for fruition. The moving truck that was scheduled to be at Grandma's old place yesterday has apparently broken down about 300 miles from us. I took the day off work to be there just to make sure Grandma's stuff would be pack and caringly moved on its way to her NEW home. Not going to happen. I held out hope yesterday and didn't go to the office "just in case they were able to make it or get a spare truck." Poor Jayson worked so hard to get them to me; it just wasn't meant to happen.

I've heard that Grandma and Mindy have been struggling the last few days and I had hoped that just knowing they would be able to settle into a "real living situation" soon would help them both. I guess it will be a few more days - I know they will make it and I hope they can both find some peace soon.

As I sit typing this little "blog" I can hear my Mom's quiet voice in my heart reminding me again that "this too shall pass."

Progress?

Lately I haven't been sure if I am actually making any progress. The wedding seems to be reaching the final "do or die" stage. I know it doesn't sound all wedding-y and romantic, I have been referring to the decisions of recent as "do or die" simply because we either "do" whatever is in question or the task or item "dies" and we don't have it, do it, eat it, or talk about it anymore. So far not too many things have fallen under the "die" designation. (thankfully)
Grandma's house and move is in full swing. She is gone and I have been to hell and back, I mean her house. With the help of Zac and Karen, I have managed to sort through most of the stuff she has instructed be sent to her. About 1/2 the stuff in her apartment will remain after Tuesday. I will have to use the "do or die" anthem with the remaining remnants of her life here. "Do" we bring it to storage or does it "die" from our lives and head to the Goodwill. Wish me luck! I am hoping to have Grandma's place totally cleaned out by March 23rd. I'm hoping to take a break from my life as I know it for the Easter Holiday and then jump back into Wedding Mode on March 28th as the final days before the wedding tick by. I am really looking forward to that week. Mindy and the family will be arriving and all the fun will begin, dresses, girly stuff, final count for the caterer's, flowers, cake, music, hair, nails, tuxes - EXCITMENT!
